Our client is currently looking to recruit a Graduate- Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent position with a specialist engineering company based in Liverpool.
The client is involved in the design of highly specialist systems, along with their integration, testing and fabrication. Supplying a number of industries spanning aerospace, defence and medical, this is an exciting time to join them as they expand their team with this newly created position, with both recent graduates and experienced engineers considered.The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for undertaking mechanical engineering projects under the guidance of the engineering team. This is a great opportunity to join a highly technical company in a challenging role, and to develop as part of a busy mechanical design team.
The ideal Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will be a;
Degree qualified graduate (in a Mechanical Engineering discipline) or HNC
Some design experience using an industry standard CAD package (Inventor / SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
Any knowledge / experience in validation / verification of designs using FEA,
You will be involved in general drawing office activities, much of which will be 3D modelling and drawing mainly using Solidworks, as required for the manufacture of the company’s products. This will also include aspects such as selection of materials compilation of parts lists and BOMs. An element of the work will include discussing and planning these activities.
The client is willing to consider both fresh graduates, and engineers with experience.
The salary on offer for this role is negotiable, dependent on skills and experience, but will likely be somewhere in the region of £20,000 - £25,000
