They now have an opportunity for a Development Engineer to support the family of Trust & Identity (T&I) services, products and innovations within the Research & Education (R&E) community.
Their T&I solutions include privacy preserving authentication & authorisation infrastructures and their supporting services. These services have a user base covering almost 100 countries, with thousands of campuses using these infrastructures.
The initial focus for this role is the emerging services of InAcademia and eduTEAMS. Both of these services add specialist functionality to their underlying eduGAIN infrastructure:
-eduTEAMS enables Research Collaborations to organise and manage their users and their access to resources.
-InAcademia provides a lightweight validation of status of a user, in particular towards commercial and small businesses.
You will identify new potential users and customer, prepare demonstration environments and materials, provide expertise to Business Developments teams and provide clear guidance to Operations.
The successful candidate is required to have knowledge of T&I technologies such as SAML, OpenID Connect. OAuth, Shibboleth and SimpleSamlPHP. You will have a good understanding of general technical networking and will have experience of engaging with both experienced and inexperienced users.
Experience of identifying requirements from potential customers is essential and you will have the ability to match them to existing solutions and demonstrate a product portfolio in depth.

This position involves regular travel in Europe and occasional worldwide travel.
