Air Conditioning Project & Sales Engineer
A new Air Conditioning Sales & Project Engineer is need for this long established AC business based in South Birmingham. In short the Director is looking for candidate with experience of taking an enquiry, surveying the site, producing a design & estimate and once the sale is agreed running the project through to hand over!
AC Project & Sales Tech should have experience of undertaking such a role in the past and be used to the demands of a Sales & Project role (technical background, communication, organisation & drive).
The key roles are outlined below -
All aspects of Sales and Customer Contacts
Carrying out site surveys for new AC equipment installations
Producing the air conditioning (and ventilation) designs as appropriate or working to consultant’s specifications and drawings. (Familiarity with A.C. Calc rev 3 heat load programme would be a real advantage).
Producing your own sketches (or drawings if required) So any CAD experience is a real bonus!
Compiling a specification for the project and preparing the estimates & submitting same to Client
Secure the new HVAC project
Placing orders with suppliers of air con equipment and to the installation team and other subcontractors
Organising the contract in accordance with our agreed programme with the Client
Producing the required RAMS
Supervising the contract concluding with commissioning
Submitting invoices to client on completion (interim invoices if appropriate)
Handing over the completed project to our client and to our service department so that they can offer service and maintenance

The Air Conditioning Sales Engineer will normally be expected to work from the Birmingham Office, along with attending site visits and some working from home is also allowed.
The working area will be Birmingham, the surrounding Midlands counties and some trips to client further into the South East.
Salary & Package Details -
Salary – An initial salary of £38,000 - 42,000 per annum (depending on experience) which will be be reviewed after the first six months employment.
At the time of writing, the AC business are looking into a scheme where bonuses/commission are paid.
Hours of Work – Normal hours of work are 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch as required. The real hours again are flexible and those deemed necessary to fulfil your obligations.
Holidays – Entitled to 23 days per annum plus the usual statutory holidays (pro rota based on your start date for this year). Part of your holiday days which is usually a period in the order of 3 days will be allocated to the Christmas/New Year week.
You will be provided with a Company credit card to be used for any such expenses to which you are entitled.
A Company car will be provided for your use
Mobile Phone – A mobile phone will be provided for your use.
Computer – You will be issued with a laptop and there will be a desk top computer available at our Birmingham Office.
