Reporting to the Engineering Compliance Manager, the Engineering Stores Supervisor oversees the daily management of the Engineering Stores to ensure all required parts and consumables are available to allow efficient completion of planned and corrective maintenance. Having direct oversight of stock and non-stock parts ordering you will provide feedback to team members in Engineering on the availability and lead time of required items to facilitate shutdown planning.
You will improve the daily operational reliability of the Engineering Stores by increasing the robustness of the cycle counting process, developing a means to address materials queries competently reviewing the reorder status of individual parts to both prevent potential stock outs and remove redundant parts from the Engineering stores. You will use root cause techniques to eliminate repeat issues which increase manufacturing equipment downtime.
The Role
Provides on-site daily (Monday to Friday) support to ensure good running of the Engineering stores. Coordinate daily activities to ensure spare parts are being reordered, delivered, and receipted promptly.
Responsible for supervision of the CMMS administration team (2 persons), who create spare parts data in SAP in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulatory guidelines.
Manage all planned maintenance activities allocated to the Engineering stores area (third part contractor management).
Working with the Engineering maintenance planner to ensure all required parts are available for upcoming planned maintenance activities.
Interface with outside suppliers, third party contractors and Engineering department representatives to ensure resolution of supply issues.
Collaborating with Procurement and Accounts Payable to progress and resolve purchase orders issues. Always promote safe working practices and promotes engagement with safety programmes. Review and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other controlled documents.
Minimum Requirements:
Higher National Certificate or equivalent Level 4 qualification in an Engineering discipline
Supervisory experience managing teams
Knowledge of cGMPs and manufacturing operations in FDA regulated facility preferred
Please note this is for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract
