Associate/Senior Quantity Surveyor (Rail/Transportation): The RoleThis new vacancy in the transportation division of a very successful consultancy, has been created to both manage existing Transport for London (TFL) contracts at a business level, and work to develop new business in both the rail sector and across the transportation/infrastructure sector as a whole. The company has a long term track record in the infrastructure sector and either already has, or is confident of winning Network Rail and Crossrail contracts and Highways Agency (HA) work. The team currently comprises 25 staff, both in head office and based in client's offices & on site around Central London.Rail Associate/Senior Quantity Surveyor: Duties:To initially take a role within the TFL framework both operationally (running projects) & giving strategic input into the live station & trackwork contracts.The key objective of the role however is to help expand the department through successful delivery of work at a business level, and as a consequence allowing extra work to be allocated to the company rather than to other TFL framework partners.Rail Industry Commercial Management/Contract Administration Experience and Qualifications Required:Extensive rail or infrastructure/transportation experience in the UK is essentialPre and post contract experience in the rail sector in the UK requiredSignificant recent consultancy experience in the rail/transportation/infrastructure sector in the UK is essential (a civil engineering contractor background prior to this is acceptable)Experience of work on track and stations contractsExperience of a TFL/Metronet/Railtrack/Network Rail type working environmentPartnering/Framework contract experienceA professional qualification is highly desirable to demonstrate your technical capability to perform the roleInfrastructure/Transportation/Civil Engineering Consultant Company Overview:A leading European based consultant with an enviable pedigree & track record in Commercial Management and Project Management of both major projects and work within ongoing framework agreements.
