Job Title: Design Manager
Location: Leeds

A permanent opportunity has arisen in Leeds to work for a well-established client of Thorn Baker's. Due to an increased demand in workload, we have been asked to recruit for an experienced Design Manager with a RC Frame High Rise (20 metres +)/Multi-Room background.

Predominantly site based, you will lead the Design Team on this Design & Build project, manage the production of technical drawings and plans used to build the RC frame structures on this project. You will be leading the Design function and liaising with the architects, structural engineers, along with specialist designers and BIM technicians, to create and execute the coordinated designs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Running the full design package on numerous projects and running external design teams.
• Running design meetings with Architects and our clients design teams.
• Producing design programmes and managing external designers to complete designs on time and within budget.
• Ensure weekly design reports are completed and discussed with the directors.

Required Skills:

• Worked on High Rise projects over 20 metres in height
• Minimum 5 years' construction design experience as a design manager.  
• AutoCAD and 3D design experience.
• Thorough understanding of building regulations and construction design process.
• Strong ability to form and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
