Main office Brackley, Northamptonshire
Our client is a leading business in their field of hire trade of bespoke machinery and equipment. They need a field-based Salesperson who will be technically trained up on all equipment specifications and also to be able to go through onsite demonstrations. The ideal candidate will be hungry to make a positive impact to the business by developing new client relationships and re-engaging with cold clients. If you enjoy travelling and are a self-motivated sales professional, then this role could be for you.
Field Sales Manager/Representative
Requirements
- Full UK Driving license
- Previous working experience within field-based sales
- Sales experience in an engineering capacity whether it be with capital machinery, engineering equipment (which can also include equipment like hire plant machinery etc.)
- Happy to target and sell into different customer markets from large private estates, local authorities like councils, public attractions/tourist attractions, transportation hubs, national trusts, manufacturing and logistics facilities and more.
- Strong negotiation skills needed to win new business and previous business back onto the books.
- Applicable experience of sales performance metrics
- Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical and data driven problem solver.
Field Sales Manager/Representative
Duties and responsibilities
- HAPPY TO TRAVEL, travelling to meet current and potential clients is essential to this role and the person for the role must be happy to be on the road meeting with clients to give product demonstrations and from there hopefully close some deals.
- Liaise with marketing and product development departments to ensure brand consistency.
- Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Contacting database to arrange meetings and tender for business.
- Marketing to ex customers and decision makers
- Increasing customer spend
- Negotiate and close agreements with customers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs.

- Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am-4:30pm
- Holidays: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (x3 days will be reserved so all employees have the Christmas period off)
