Works Manager

Successful NW based Civil SME - Major Highways Framework

My client is a leading regional civil engineering contractor working across Civils, Highways, Tunnelling, Drainage and Utilities and have a variety of frameworks in the NW.

They are looking to recruit an experienced 'Works Manager' to assist in the timely delivery of the projects.

Role Description:

• Daily planning of project works and resource management

• Managing the quality of work by direct labour and subcontractors

• Liaising with key stakeholders and attend liaison meetings.

• Setting up regular and clear lines of communication to address issues that may arise.

• Reporting to the Senior Project Manager each month, or as frequently agreed, on progress and all commercial matters.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and secure site at all times

• Assisting the Project Manager with the implementation and management of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures

• Directing and managing all site-based activities

Requirements:

• NVQ L6/7 in Construction Management and/or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering (not essential)

• Strong project management background on civil engineering projects, specifically Highways and Infrastructure, 278 Works

• Excellent supervision and organisational skills

• Experience in successfully managing relationships with stakeholders and members of the public

• Proven management skills and ability to manage a project effectively and efficiently, delivering high outputs and exceeding our client's expectations
