This company are developing a high-performance product and are going through a heavy R&D phase of this new product before it is released towards the end of 2024! To that end they are going through a stage of developing and implementing a new supplier list before they go into production.

Their ideal candidate is someone who comes from a manufacturing purchasing background and is confident in negotiating best possible contracts for tooling and parts suppliers. As well as someone who can help implement new suppliers, it is also working closely with the supply quality team to ensure at the critical early stages of customer production, the quality standards stay at the right level through monitoring performance.

So, to sum up.. they are looking for someone who can:

• Carry out supplier assessments and implement LEAN principles with suppliers.
• Take ownership of the negotiating and liaising with suppliers.
• Lead cost evaluation processes across the manufacturing process.
• Influence Bill of Material systems with heads of departments within manufacturing to ensure the smoothest process.
