We are recruiting a permanent dimensional Quality Inspector on behalf of a pioneering company in the precision engineering market place. As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the products meet specifications through rigorous testing and inspection. From validating incoming products to approving finished goods, your attention to detail will be key to your success. This role is based on a Monday to Friday day shift moving to a permanent afternoon shift after probationary period. Salary starting around £30k, moving to roughly £40k once on the afternoon shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Approve finished products by conducting visual and dimensional measurements.
  • Validate incoming products to ensure they meet specifications both visually and dimensionally.
  • Maintain measurement equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Uphold a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and regulations.
  • Provide training and support to team members as necessary to enhance business operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work with Mitutoyo CMM

Essential:

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Competence in using standard engineering equipment and inspecting machined components.
  • Experience with programming and operating Mitutoyo or Aberlink CMMs.
  • Understanding of non-conforming product procedures and customer specifications.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with Faro Arms and Trimos vertical Height Gauge.
