Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be multi-national renewables developer on the hire of an Assistant Town Planner for their team in Bristol.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to join the UK development team as a Planning Assistant / Town Planner (depending on experience). You will most likely be someone early in your planning career, with ideally a couple years of professional experience, who is either working towards or has recently become a Chartered Planner.

What you'll be doing

Our client develops large scale solar and battery storage projects in the UK, Canada, the US, Italy, Portugal, Lithuania, Spain, Germany and Ireland, working closely with landowners and local stakeholders to develop sites to the highest standards.

The Planning Assistant or Planner will support the Head of Planning, alongside the current Planning Assistant and having a direct working relationship with the rest of the UK Development Team.

Day-to-day work will include a mix of technical, analytical, problem solving and project management tasks. For the right candidate, there is potential for this role to grow and develop according to your interests and abilities.

In return

Salary: £30,000 - 35,000pa
