Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

Rate: £25 Per Hour (Contracted Rate)

The Company

Due to a being awarded a long-term contract, a Tier 1 contractor has an immediate start for an experienced Quality Assurance Manchester to work on a busy construction site.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to work on a large construction project at Shotton Paper Mill on a long-term basis. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing the Quality function for one of the leading contractors on site.

• You will work alongside the Quality Manager based on site, 60% office based on the laptop, and 40% out on site carrying out audits, inspections etc.
• Monday-Friday – 7.30am to 5.00pm (potential for weekend work maybe available)
• Rate: £25-£30 Per Hour – (Weekend Paid at Time/Half & Double Time)
• Reporting to a Lead Quality Manager who is based on site
• Perform inspections, audits and have conversations across the whole construction process and supply chain
• Ensure package/project managers and subcontractors complete all packages in line with the QMP (quality management plan) and that all processes are followed
• Ensure inspections are all complete
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of sub-contractor’s work, equipment, tools and documentation to identify areas for improvement

About You

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be highly motivated and be able to work in a busy, pressured site environment and have proven experiences working on similar construction projects. Knowledge and experience of inspecting Welding, Steel Erection, and Cladding would be advantageous.

To be considered for the role you must have a steady work history with previous experience in quality advisor, manager or assurance within the construction industry.

• Minimum 3 Years in a similar Quality Assurance Role
• Experience within construction, and civil engineering industries
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Available to work 5 days a week (Weekends may be available at uplifted rates)
• You must have very strong IT skills including Microsoft office
• You must be able to prepare Quality Plans, Test Reports, Non-conformance Reports & Compile Quality Records Packages
• A valid CSCS card is essential

For your skills and experience our client is looking at paying around £25 per hour (Contracted Rate) depending on experience. The position is s minimum of 12 month’s work, which could be extended depending on performance. They can move negotiable slightly on the rate depending on experience.
