Structural Engineer required to join their consultancy based in Shrewsbury. The core purpose of this role is to ensure that best Structural Engineering design practices are applied within the office. This position would suit a recently Structural Engineer with a good breadth of experience in the Consultancy sector with at least 3 years' experience within residential and commercial buildings.

• The role will involve mentoring less experienced members of the team
• Work on a number of projects and clients at any one time
• Support our Principal engineers and Directors across the group

• Conformance to our accredited processes and procedures as recognised within the industry
• Implementing fundamental knowledge and understanding of structural engineering design and the application and principles
• Working on innovative and sustainable engineering projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial
• Using AutoCAD, Masterseries and TEDDS as well as STAAD.Pro, SCIA and Revit
• Report writing
• Site visits

• Minimum three years' experience within Structural design including steelwork, reinforced concrete and masonry construction to Euro Code standard
• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil or Structural Engineering
• Proficient use of AutoCAD, Masterseries and TEDDS design software
• Understanding of STAAD.Pro, SCIA and Revit
• Producing detailed structural calculations and sketches
• Preparation of construction drawings and specifications
• Commercial awareness of costing, budgets and quotations
• Report writing
• Site visits to verify construction complies with construction drawings
• Willing to work towards or nearing Chartered Status
