£35,000 - £37,000/annum

Westwood Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist to join our client who are a world renowned Manufacturing company based in Bredbury.

The role entails:

  • To be able to machine components to technical drawings and specifications.
  • To set-up and operate CNC machines correctly.
  • Manufacture components from engineering drawings, whilst working within company Quality procedures.
  • Self-inspection of own work.
  • Ensure that preventative & General maintenance checks are carried out.
  • To ensure that all HSE legislations are adhered to at all times.

You will:

  • Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Have knowledge to set and operate CNC machines – Milling
  • Know how to edit and prove out CNC programs.
  • Know how to use a range of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers etc.)
  • Have sound knowledge of geometrical tolerances.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Be a strong team player with a can do attitude.
  • Be able to produce components to the correct standards within a timely and efficient manner.
  • Be able to maintain a high level of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience within the oil and gas industry is preferred but not essential.
  • You will have minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines.
  • Engineering Apprenticeship or similar or time served
  • Fanuc experience advantageous.
