Electrician
Are you an experienced Electrician looking for exciting contracting opportunities in the marine industry? Our Fife-based engineering marine client is actively seeking skilled Electricians to join their team for ongoing projects. This contracting role falls within IR35 regulations and offers a competitive rate.
Key Details:
Contract Type: Ongoing (Inside IR35)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, with Friday and weekend overtime available at enhanced rates)
Additional Opportunities: Night shifts with extra allowances
Location: Fife
Responsibilities:
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Cable testing
- Termination
- Insulation
- Earth bonding
- Ladder basket and conduit work
Involvement in:
- Installation of electrical equipment in the marine environment, covering shock and non-shock mounted items
- Cable containment systems installation
- Wiring and testing of electrical systems (Power distribution, Lighting, Fire detection, Control circuits, Combat systems)
- Glanding and termination of cabling, ranging from single core domestic style to combat systems Mil spec connectors
- Installation and testing of fibre optic systems
Skills and Experience for the Electrician role:
- Minimum ONC in Electrical Engineering or Level 3 Electrical apprenticeship
- Desirable experience working in a marine or industrial environment
- Preferable multi-system experience (LV & Dim)
