Electrical Engineer - (Cheshire) – long-term site-based contract
£45-50 per hour (experience dependent & contracting outside IR35) + average 40-45hr working week + min 12mth contract (ongoing) + overtime rates
Electrical Engineer responsibilities include:
- Site-based, carrying out complex Electrical installations, repairs, safety checks & inspections.
- Working on waste-energy / renewables live, mega-scale construction site.
- Risk assessment of electrical installations.
- Electrical safety assessments for plant and machinery.
- Drawings, tracing, labelling and schedules of electrical installations.
- Emergency lighting inspection and test to BS 5266 standard.
- Electrical load analysis; Lightning protection systems inspection and testing.
- Act as Advisor providing technical and legislative advice where necessary.
Electrical Engineer profile;
- HND / HNC, C&G L3 in electrical installation qualification.
- Minimum 10yrs Electrical Engineering experience.
- Min 5yrs experience working on mega-scale ‘live’ construction sites ideally in Oil & Gas, Renewables, Waste to Energy, Nuclear or similar.
- C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing certificate and fully conversant with 18th edition IEE Wiring Regulations; BS7671:2018
- COMPEX certs 01-04 an advantage.
- Current UK driving license.
- Proven technical knowledge and understanding.
- Excellent customer service manner, with strong communications and interpersonal skills.
