This would be a Permenant role working for a key engineering component company.

As a Welder you will work Monday to Thursday 06:45 – 16:45 and be on a salary of between £24660 and £25905 per annum depending on experience.

The Welder is responsible for the welding of parts within production, following drawings and
structures to specified tolerances with regards to our clients’ products.

Welder Key Responsibilities:
  • Uses electricity and torches to produce heat and solder together components made from
  • steel and aluminium for the transport sector  
  • Interpreting engineering drawings to meet specification.
  • Responsibility for self-inspection Sheets
  • Experienced in traceability for filler rod materials.
  • Monitors equipment for appropriate usage and temperature
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of universal standards and specifications to meet legal requirements.
  • Follows safety protocol, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and
  • safety shoes
  • In house training will be provided in the form of inspection training (BSEN ISO17637, BSEN ISO10042, BSEN ISO5817, BSEN ISO2553) and Welder Qualification (BSEN 9606-1 & 9606-2).

Welder Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent attention detail (essential) 
  • Experience of a manufacturing industry (essential)
  • Aluminium TIG Welding (essential)
  • Steel TIG Welding and MAGS Welding (desirable)
  • This is a shop floor-based role, requiring the post holder to undertake manual handling, use hand tools, computers, and work in a manufacturing environment.
  • This role requires the post holder to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
