Job description:

Our client is a world class leader of mechanical, electrical and public health services , they provide the design, management, delivery of the most technically challenging MEP schemes with sustainability in the heart of their work. They are currently seeking an MEP Design co-ordinator within their Building Services division to help support their established and rapidly-growing northern operations.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

- Act as a main point of contact with their client through the design process  

- Aid the development of the design programme and monitor performance of designers to ensure timely completion of deliverables  

- Manage the design activities in line with the programme and ensure all scope changes are captured and communicated with the Commercial team  

- Monitor and report design progress on a weekly basis  

- Monitor & track status of RFI’s  

- M or E bias but must have sufficient general building services knowledge  

- Ensuring all deadlines are met to the highest standard  

- Liaison with personnel in other parts of the client's Building Services Ltd

Requirements:

- A minimum of 8-10 years design experience within the Building Services industry  

- Ideally have design experience in a wide range of sectors  

- Qualified to HNC in Building Services Engineering  

- Experience using REVIT/Navisworks is essential  

- Understanding of BIM protocols that are actively used throughout the Group  

- Confidence to lead and take a ‘hands on’ approach  

- Excellent time management skills  

- Flexible attitude to balance work loads and deadlines  

- Applicants must hold a driving licence
