Principal Electrical Engineer

My client are a well established building services consultancy with offices in both the north and south of England, a really strong group of engineers with a positive attitude though out the team stemming from the top down! I get on really well with the directors and they make it very simple to recruit for them! They are currently looking for a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team in Croydon.

Our client are working on a wide variety of projects including lot of commercial projects, high end residential, some hotels, healthcare and some data centres as well.

You will be responsible for electrical design, engineering, documentation, administration and compliance with project constraints undertaken for MEP, leading projects through the stages, meeting with clients, architects, contractors etc.

Principal Electrical Engineer Requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

Minimum of 6 years' experience in electrical design engineering

Strong understanding of electrical systems from a design and construction perspective.

Capable of working as part of a team and on own initiative.

Good knowledge of the current British electrical standards.

Knowledge of key engineering software packages such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech and Navisworks is desirable but not essential.
