Our client, a leading company in the shipbuilding industry, is seeking a Chief Engineer for a contract position. As the Chief Engineer, you will play a vital role in dry dock operations, refits, and sea trials. Job Requirements

  • Chief Engineer unlimited UK CoC
  • Dry dock, refit, or sea trials experience
  • Valid ENG1, Passport, and STCW certifications
  • British nationality/citizenship (due to security requirements)
  • Experience in Royal Navy or RFA (Royal Fleet Auxiliary) is highly desirable


Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge of engineering operations during dry docking, refits, and sea trials.
  • Manage and oversee the work of the engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve project objectives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of engineering activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical recommendations and guidance to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
