We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist with experience in Turning to join our team.

Position Overview:

As a CNC Machinist Turner you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating turning machines machines to produce finished components to quality requirements. You will work closely with engineering drawings and utilize your expertise in CNC turning with live tooling to deliver precise and accurate results. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Fanuc, Mazak, or Siemens controls and possess a strong understanding of various machine controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate turn/mill machines in accordance with customer drawings and specifications.
  • Produce finished components to meet quality standards and tight tolerances.
  • Utilize live tooling capabilities effectively to optimize machining processes.
  • Work with small batches and single components, ensuring efficient production and adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain workshop housekeeping standards to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
  • Attend and complete any required training courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Comply with all HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, Environment) requirements and procedural controls.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to support production goals and address any challenges that may arise.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong background in CNC turning with live tooling.
  • Proficiency in programming and operating Fanuc, Mazak, or Siemens controls.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings and interpreting technical specifications.
  • Excellent manual handling skills with a focus on precision and accuracy.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Strong team player with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
