Senior Electronic & Software Design Engineer - West London

Technical Area: PIC microcontroller coding in C, Circuit Design, Analogue, Digital, Altium

Our client runs a thriving business that designs and manufactures safety-critical electronic and electromechanical devices for harsh environments. They are seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer with coding skills to join the team.

The Job

As an Electronic Design & Software Design Engineer, you will join a team working on projects to design circuits and develop software, integrating these into mechanical housings ready for testing and manufacture.

Technical responsibilities:

·        PIC microcontroller design using C

·        Prototyping and Breadboarding

·        PCB layout design using Altium

·        Design for CE marking, EMC and Low Voltage Directive

·        Test and validation internally and with third-party approval bodies

About You

As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you should have the following skills and experience:

·        HNC/HND/Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent

·        Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design using Altium or similar

·        Programming skills in C for PIC 8-bit & 16-bit microcontrollers

·        Knowledge of Assembler for legacy products is advantageous

Desirable Skills

·        Understanding of hazardous location electronics

·        Design experience with wide temperature range products
