£35,000 - £40,000/annum

My client is a large manufacturing brand who has offices throughout the UK. They concentrate on electrical manufacturing of a wide range of items.

They are looking for a Maintenance Electrical Technician to join their team in Merthyr Tydfil on a permanent basis You will be required to provide first line response for manufacturing equipment breakdowns, and: -

  • General maintenance and repair of all plant and machinery (both electrical and mechanical) including PLC`s and belt conveyors.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
  • To carry out projects and installation work as required
  • Fault finding and solving technical problems
  • Maintain plant using PPM schedules and condition monitoring

Shift 1 – 6.00 am to 2.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 6.00 am to 1.15 pm Friday 

Shift 2 – 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 1.15 pm to 8.30 pm Friday 

Shift 3 – 10.45pm to 6.00am Sunday and 10pm to 6.00am Monday to Thursday 

when we are at full capacity they would work 1 week of nights in 5.  When they work nights they would also get an unsociable hours payment of an extra 10% for shifts between those hours.

To be considered for this role you will:

Full indentured 4 year maintenance engineering apprenticeship

3-year BTEC National Certificate in electrical/mechanical maintenance engineering or above.
