Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in control panel assembly and wiring? We're seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to join our team in Droitwich. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the precise installation of electrical wiring and associated materials, adhering to 18th Edition Regulations (BS7671) for Package Plant Rooms and on-site maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Controls Duties:

  • Efficiently kit component parts according to Bills of Materials.
  • Carry out the fitting and assembly of control panels based on provided drawings and data sheets.
  • Install and assemble components and consumable materials such as cable trunking/tray.
  • Wire control panels following relevant schematic wiring diagrams.
  • Maintain adherence to goods inwards inspection procedures.
  • Follow goods outwards, packing, and dispatch procedures accurately.
  • Notify the Electrical Team Leader of any unexpected material or component shortages.
  • Safely store all necessary individual component instructions and packing notes for future reference.
  • Assist with other general workshop activities as needed.

General Housekeeping:

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, following 5S principles.
  • Prioritize health and safety for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Ensure all tools are accounted for in stores each day.
  • Use only specified and allocated materials for each respective job.

Role Requirements:

Controls Role Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in control panel assembly.
  • Familiarity with control panel assembly and wiring procedures.

Electrical Role Requirements:

  • Ideally hold City & Guilds Part 1 & 2 qualifications, with 2391 Inspection & Test preferred.
  • Certified as 18th Edition qualified.
  • Understanding of control panel operations is advantageous.
  • ECS Holder.

General Role Requirements:

  • ECS Card Holder.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated dedication and hard work ethic.
