White Label is representing an engineering business in the Chesterfield area that requires a Project Engineer to join their team.

As the Project Engineer, you will process and manage customer projects, from receipt of purchase order through to final installation. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, who is responsible for technical and project management of customer orders, from receipt of PO to completion.

This role would suit a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years of experience looking for a varied role that mixes design and project management.

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer

• Management of projects for standard products and customised solutions, from receipt of order through to final installation.  
• Provision of comprehensive technical information to Head Office teams for complex solutions where full design and manufacturing is undertaken in Italy.
• Concept and detailed design of simple tooling solutions that are undertaken in the UK Office.
• Provide technical support for the preparation of quotations, based on information provided by the customer and the external sales team.  Proposals are prepared using standard costing models and quotation templates which are customised for the specific application.
• Liaising with customers (both directly and via the external sales team) during project implementation.

Experience required of the Project Engineer

• HNC or degree educated in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 12 months of experience in industry (can be a placement year).
• 3D CAD experience.

Package/Salary

• A salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays
• Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 AM – 5 PM with 30 minutes for lunch
