Ethan James are excited to be working with a market leading Data Centre services supplier to recruit an experienced Electrical HV Shift Engineer on a permanent basis. Responsible for managing the maintenance of their clients Data Centre. The primary function is to ensure there is zero impact to the client’s business operations by regular upkeep and maintenance. 

Additional job roles

• To ensure satisfactory delivery of services against contractual terms and conditions
• To ensure all maintenance work is called out in accordance with client and company policies and within health and safety requirements.

Key aspects of the role:

• Undertake or oversee the maintenance on critical plant and equipment.
• Follow safe systems of work and ensure all activities are carried out in full compliance with client procedures.
• Directly supervise and control subcontractor activities.
• Comply with the customers RNOW change approval system.
• Actively mitigate engineering risks through applying CERM methodologies.
• Establish and develop trusting, meaningful relationships with the site engineering team and other client staff.
• Willing to provide shift cover when requested and be flexible towards working hours, as dictated by site circumstances
• Undertake relevant training

Education

• City & Guilds Electrical competency Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent.
• Comprehensive building services knowledge in similar environments to a minimum of HVAC standards.
• Knowledge of “Permit to work” systems.
• Experience with BMS
• Time served Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship
• Previous Data Centre experience 
• HV switching qualification/experience.
• 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
