An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join us at Express Engineering, an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North East of England. With over 50 years of experience in machining and assembling critical subsea components and systems, we are a market leader in the specialised products we produce.

To be successful in this Quality Inspector role at Express Engineering, you will:

• Be proficient at programming CMM’s with Mcosmos software. Offline programming experience would be an advantage.
• Have experience of conducting visual and dimensional inspection activities using manual measuring equipment, such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, ring gauges
• Have strong experience of working to customer specifications
• Be confident reviewing and verifying internal reports
• Have strong mathematical skills and the ability to understand engineering drawings
• Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages include excel and word
• Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment
• Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements
• Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others

As with all positions, due to the nature and varying demands of our business, the responsibilities and tasks are not limited to this overview and may change to meet future demands.

You will be working over a number of shift patterns including night shift which attracts an allowance of 29.25% of basic rate per hour. Overtime is paid at time and half.
