Polytec are looking for a Senior Principal Electronics Engineer specialising in Digital design for our client based just north of Cambridge.

Responsibilities:

* Requirements analysis and understanding
* Technical design and specification of digital and analogue circuitry
- Complete subsystem design and implementation
- Integration with RF, Audio and MMI subsystems.
- Component specification and sourcing
- Design, integration and test documentation
- Definition, implementation and supervision of PCB layout rules and constraints
* Resolution of design and integration issues
* Interaction with SW team at device driver level (especially during bring-up phases)
* Type approval support
* Production technical support
* Technical support to end customers
* Requirements analysis to identify technical solutions and credible development estimates for significant product change
* Lead technical recruitment interviews
* Responsibility for creation of functional and detailed design documents for components / modules / products under development

Requirements:

* Demonstrable experience of leading and owning the design of electronic systems
* Strong background in electronics design from initial concept, specification through to software and systems integration, test, and manufacture
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to mentor less experienced engineers
* Able to work in a small, focused team, sometimes against tight deadlines
* Conscientious, enthusiastic and reliable attitude
* Ability to take a technical lead, working to a high level of quality
