Role and Responsibilities for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Lead comprehensive projects involving the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of specialised heavy bespoke machinery presses, integrating advanced technology for improved structural integrity, efficiency, and safety.
• Engineer solutions for optimized material flow paths and structures, utilizing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for durability and efficient operation enhancements.
• Develop and refine design parameters through mathematical and simulation models, alongside the design and improvement of 3D models, FEA structural models, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Serve as a technical liaison among stakeholders, guiding suppliers and fabricators with expert advice throughout the fabrication, installation, and commissioning processes.
• Conduct technical evaluations and prepare documents for the procurement of equipment and materials.
• Spearhead conceptual machine design, execute engineering calculations, and perform structural analysis.
• Oversee machine testing and commissioning, ensuring adherence to defined performance parameters.
• Collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives, acting as a technical project lead and providing support during all stages of fabrication and commissioning.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, enhancing overall team productivity and performance.
