Position: Mechanical Design Manager

Salary: >£55k DOE

Location: Leicester

TSR are looking a Mechanical Design Manager to work with a Design & Build M&E Contractor based in Leicester.

Our client covers a range of commercial installation & maintenance projects (schools, universities, care homes, distribution warehouses) across the Midlands, with values ranging between £100k - £1 million.

The skills for the Mechanical Design Manager:

  • Experience of working on a variety of Ventilation and Drainage projects in the Commercial field including, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, gas, water services and above ground drainage.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD however, the client is happy to work around the candidates preferred software if needed
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft word excel for producing documentation, reports, drawing registers and materials
  • Capable of understanding design calculation and report
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience in interpretation of engineering and quality specifications and scopes
  • Proven experience in similar role (min 5 years)
  • Preferably Apprentice trained in engineering trade
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer Literate
  • Experience in producing technical submissions and sizing equipment, pipe work and duct works

  • Standard office hours 7:30 - 4:00pm (can be flexible)
