Your New Company:

This company is a leading FMCG manufacturer with production facilities across the whole of the UK. You will be joining a large site employing over 200 people and with very forthcoming NetZero initiatives. You will be joining an established engineering team who operate with 4 different shift teams.

What is on offer for the Shift Maintenance Engineer?

  • £50,100 starting salary, rising to just under £55,000 on completion of probation (inclusive of shift allowance)
  • Panama Shift Pattern (3s and 2s)

Person Requirements for the Shift Maintenance Engineer:

  • Time served engineer, from fast paced or process background(Food, Beverage, Brewery, Packaging)
  • Recognised Engineering qualification e.g. HNC/HND/ONC/OND/NVQ L3
  • Accustomed to fast paced and challenging working environments
  • Experience of working to high level of regulation
  • Either Mechanical or Electrical Bias
  • Basic facilities maintenance skills

Job Requirements for the Shift Maintenance Engineer:

Working as the Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will ideally have experience of maintaining production plant machinery from both a mechanical and electrical perspective.

  • Work in partnership with the Engineering manager, shift lead, production staff and technicians to carry out repairs to plant process equipment machinery.
  • Responding to breakdowns and working to PPM’s.
  • Multi-skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Troubleshooting and practical fault finding on plant and mechanical/electrical machinery.
  • Undertaking small CI projects and leading 5s tasks.
  • Calibrations, documentation updates and active role in RCA process.
  • Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance schedules.
  • Following site H&S procedures and reporting any risks via the internal reporting process.
  • Occasional need to work on site services / utilities projects.
