MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
This is an immediate Permanent opportunity based in Wolverhampton doing DAYS within a manufacturing company plating high spec brass components.  Working on Brass, Chrome and Nickel to a higher than industry standard in quality. 

Salary:     £28,496 based on days - split afternoon shift is £29,900

Hours:      Days 5.30am to 2pm and 1.30 to 10pm rotating shift - 40 hours per week Mon to Fri

NIGHTS ALSO AVAILABLE working 9.30pm to 6.30am Mon to Fri

What you will be responsible for

•           Responsible for running a chrome / nickel line

.           Jigging / un-jigging and load/unload plant as required.

•           Operate plating or coating machines to coat metal products to protect surfaces               within specified times. They have 4 plating lines offering 8 different finishes

•           Replacing worn parts and adjusting equipment components, using hand tools.

•           Performing equipment maintenance, such as cleaning tanks and lubricating                     moving parts of conveyors.

•           Inspecting coated or plated areas for defects - air bubbles or uneven coverage.

•           Maintaining quality standards

•           Identify record and pack components as required.

•           Organise product for processing to ensure timely processing of trays and                         effective utilisation of plant.

•           Recognise and report variations on process parameters.

•           Make and record process additions and process maintenance as required.

•           Undertake all work in accordance with work instruction sheets and standard                     process procedures and operations.

•           Complete production and technical records as required.

•           Conduct regular plant process and procedure audits / inspections.

•           Recognise, rectify, or report any trends in rejects and other quality issues.

•           Carry out the planned maintenance as and when required.

•           Ensure compliance with company procedures, make suggestions for change

•           Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards.

What you will already have

•           Experience of working in a fast-paced plating department, ideally working with                Chrome and Nickel surface finishes. Other finishes will be considered.

•           Electroplating / Metal plating experience

•           Experience of powder coating copper would be considered

•           Knowledge of plating plant maintenance.
