Our Client, a leading environmental engineering consultancy that offers design and operations, environment and sustainable master planning as well as consulting engineering services in the built environment, engaged in mechanical and electrical engineering, structural engineering, and associated activities. Our client is looking for a Senior/ Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join their team with a passion for sustainable development.

Location: Manchester (City Centre)

Salary:  £45,000 to £50,000 (depending on the experience)

Employment type: Permanent

Purpose of the Role: The MEP Team has enormous potential and has seen demand for their time and expertise grow year on year. Due to plans for expansion as a business, they are looking for an experienced professional, that could work autonomously, bringing innovative ideas and contributing to the company's growth. This person will monitor the quality control on projects to ensure the company quality standards are being achieved, prepare calculations/specifications and drawings, ensuring they comply with the client's brief.

Essential Skills and Experience: You will have experience of commercial (new build, refurbishments and fit out), residential and mixed-use developments and should possess an in-depth knowledge of Building Services Engineering Systems including their performance, application, and operation. You’ll need to have a degree in Electrical Design or relevant (Chartered would be a benefit). Experience working in a UK design consultancy and/or experience working within a contractor design environment is essential.
