RSW are looking to recruit a dynamic Electrical Design Engineer for our client, a young and modern MEP Building Services Consultancy based in Wales.  The Electrical Design Engineer will work as part of a close-knit and highly motivated team and our client helps their engineers enhance their skills and provide opportunities to grow in engineering and business.

The successful candidate will already be working as an Electrical Design Engineer within the Building Services sector and looking to progress and advance your career and profile within the industry.

You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the region and beyond in wide range of sectors including: Healthcare, Local Government, Higher Education, Manufacturing & Production, Commercial and Leisure.

You will take a key role in project delivery and be able to work both independently and in a team delivering technical aspects of your discipline in line with our Client’s and Design Team’s aspirations.

Electrical Design Engineer duties include:

•        Understand client needs, interpret and confirm the project brief.

•        Lead an M&E Team in the coordination and delivery of individual projects, including attendance at meetings, internal programming, project reviews etc.

•        Provide input on design strategy and conceptual design relative to electrical installations.

•        Undertake detailed design of electrical installations in a range of building projects including the production of design drawings, diagrams and schematics along with project specifications and schedules.

•        Design electrical installations in line with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations, and other relevant standards.

•        Design electrical installations to meet requirements for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements where required.

•        Understand mechanical engineering systems and the ability to report of both disciplines during meetings, where required.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

·        Preferably have 2-5 years’ experience within a building services design role running projects from conception through to completion

·        Experience using software packages including Revit, Trimble, StabiCAD, AutoCAD, Relux and DIALux.

·        Ideally hold a full UK driving license.
