Sustainable Talent have engaged exclusively with a leading provider of construction and engineering services within the power transmission and distribution sector. They have successfully delivered major projects for National Grid and other clients, such as substation upgrades, transformer replacements, battery energy storage systems (BESS).

The Role:

  • Leading civil engineering design capability , specifically on large scale electrical projects (HV Substations)
  • Produce detailed high voltage substation design packages, compliant to required client and national technical standards (ENA/BS/IEC/IEEE) including preparing calculations and technical / equipment specification
  • GIS and AIS civil design, submission to national grid for assurance
  • documentation
  • Participate in FEED stage projects, including production of technical reports and presentations
  • Work Independently and manage multiple tasks and guidelines
  • Maintain compliance to CDM regulations and all other legal and regulatory requirements associated with the nature of HV cable and electrical system design
  • Liaise with client stakeholders and attend regular client project meetings
  • Good understanding of National Grid standards
