We’re hiring for a time served and experienced CNC Programmer to join a well-established subcontract manufacturing business situated in the High Peak, who boast an excellent reputation for quality, service, and on-time delivery.

You’ll be joining an experienced team who operate either XYZ, Mazak, or Hurco CNC lathes, and you’ll receive full support with products and methods of manufacture to assist you in settling into the role. Whatever your programming background is, we are interested to hear from you.

What’s on offer?

• £35,000 - £37,000 per annum
• 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Thursday / 1:00pm finish Friday
• 33 days holiday
• Overtime available
• Software training is available to suit individual experience

What will you be doing as a CNC Programmer?

• Programming, editing, setting, and operating a CNC lathe in a busy low batch size machine shop
• Operating the machine to an acceptable production target whist maintaining a high standard of quality - Using XL780 XYZ – 3m lathe
• Performing First Offs and checking Quality
• Working with the manager and supervisors to fulfil the Company's policies and business objectives

What do you need?

• Time served machinist, experienced and competent on CNC lathe equipment
• You will be used to any one of the following software packages: XYX Proto Trak, Siemens, Mazatrol, or Hurco Winmax – Other experience will be considered, and training will be provided to suit your machine
• Must be able to work to component drawings and adopt awareness to critical dimensions and surface finish
• Experienced in machining a wide variety of stainless steels
• Used to working to fine tolerances

What’s nice to have?

• Apprenticeship and/or Engineering qualifications are preferred
• Knowledge of ISO based quality control systems
