Cambridge – Embedded Firmware Engineer- £45K-£55K – Automation

My Client is a successful technology design and engineering company who work with global manufacturers and OEMS incorporating their unique IP from concept to mass production. They are looking for a dynamic and ambitious firmware engineer to become a valuable member of their expanding team, comprised of world-class professionals in engineering. This team is dedicated to leaving a significant impact on their cutting-edge smart technology. 

Main Duties:

+ Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance proprietary control algorithms to meet market demands.

+ Define, create and assess embedded firmware solutions to operate their technology

+ Enhance methods and procedures for continuous improvement

+ Engage with partners and customers, comprehending their requirements and providing necessary support for effective product use.

Skills and Experience Required:

+ BSc or BEng in Electronic Engineering or other relevant degree course

+ 2+ years experience in Embedded Software using C/C++ on Microcontrollers

Desired but not essential experience:

+ Designing to requirement specifications

+ Board-level debug and test

+ Defect tracking and peer review

+ PWM

+ DSP

+ Motor control 

The salary for this position will be circa £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience. Benefits include travel opportunities, private health insurance and regular social events.
