Job Title: Principle Highways Maintenance Engineer
 
Location: London, UK
 
Salary: £50,000-£54,000 per annum
 
I am working on behalf of my client based in London for an opportunity for a Principal Highway Engineer to join the highways maintenance team. The right person for the role will be responsible for developing the management of highways assets, review designs, and assist in the delivery of planned and responsive highways maintenance.
 
Responsibilities of the Principal Highway Engineer:
·Review and delivery major planned and responsive highways maintenance works
·Strategically lead the project teams
·Work within deadlines and budget requirements
·Commission professional design services
·Supervise highways sites
·Measure and value works
·Attend site meetings
·Liaise with major clients and build rapport
·Contribute to procurement processes
·Utilise CAD software
·Implement CDM regulations
·People manage to a high standard and train staff as required
 
Requirements of the Principal Highway Engineer:
·Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or similar field
·Strong working knowledge of highways engineering and delivery
·Demonstrable experience in highways maintenance
·Understanding of relevant legislation, including the Traffic Management Act
·IT and CAD software proficiency
·Commercial acumen
