Our client, an industry frontrunner in renewable alternatives, is seeking an Instrument Technician to join their team in Irvine, UK. As part of the Engineering and Maintenance Department, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing their plant and equipment to the highest standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance routines
  • Troubleshoot, manage projects, and refurbish equipment
  • Ensure maximum availability and reliability of the production process and CHP plant
  • Comply with safety and environmental policies

Who You Are:

  • Served a recognised apprenticeship
  • Qualified to HNC level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or in Control and Instrumentation engineering
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Analytical troubleshooter with the ability to fault-find, maintain, and repair electrical equipment
  • Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, fault-finding techniques, calibration procedures, and control systems such as PLC's/DCS systems
  • Competent with engineering drawings
  • Familiar with maintenance management systems
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organised and able to manage responsibilities efficiently
