Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer? Do you have knowledge of designing heat exchangers, pressure vessels or pressurised equipment? If so, our client, a manufacturer of equipment for the oil & gas industry, is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The role will be based at the company's Poole site.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description
  • Providing mechanical design expertise on complex mechanical engineering assignments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Creating project and job pack documentation for engineering handover to projects.
  • Performing mechanical component development, selection and integration whilst using CAD concepts.
  • Incorporating DfM and assembly in all designs; using best practise and professional knowledge to reduce costs and improve mechanical design and development processes.
  • Coordinating other engineers within the team on day to day activity which could include full line management responsibilities.
 
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Holder of a Mechanical Engineering degree or relevant experience.
  • Design experience of heat exchangers or pressure vessels or pressurised equipment
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software (CATIA preferable, but not essential)
