Stores Warehouse Assistant | Production

Our client is a market leader in the development and supply of advanced technology electronic point of sale products into the worlds food processing industries and major retailers.


They produce digital equipment for a wide range of food processing environments; from poultry to fish, vegetables, dairy, bakeries and ready meals, including many different classifications of world industry from leading industrial corporations to small local retail supply outlets as well as Point of Sale products into the major multiple retailers.

They are now seeking a Stores Warehouse Assistant to join their team where you will be responsible for controlling the flow of stock through the Stores environment safely and efficiently. Ensuring all goods and materials are received and shipped correctly, completing kits correctly for production.

                                                               

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Stores Team Leader you will performs the major functions listed below. 

  • Process and receipt incoming materials, checking quantity and type of goods received
  • Recording any damaged, missing or faulty goods utilising the correct processes
  • Picking materials for Production Orders expeditiously and accurately, utilising handhelds
  • Sorting, organising and labelling all inventory correctly, ensuring MS Nav is updated with all actions
  • Movement of goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using the correct mechanical handling equipment in a safe manner
  • Ability to understand and actioning work instructions provided by Stores Team Leaders
  • Storing and re-stacking goods safely, packing away debris to ensure space maximisation
  • Picking, packaging and preparing spares orders for dispatch; labelling correctly
  • Updating the wider organisation when inaccuracies are found and taking responsibility to correct
  • Loading and unloading inventory from delivery vans and moving to correct location
  • Preparing crates for finished goods ready for dispatch
  • Utilising MS Nav, handheld scanners and other technology to record goods movement
  • Ensure full compliance with all H&S procedures, ensuring use of correct safety gear at all times
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move or store inventory
  • A flexible and positive approach with an ability to multitask within the team is necessary
  • Attention to detail around stock and an organised manner in all actions
  • Full participation in creation and action of improvement activities
  • Provide support for all staff in keeping with the businesses values, policies and procedures
  • Complete all documents required by the company policies and procedures

 Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience of operating heavy machinery or forklifts to move goods.
  • Experience of working in a Stock warehouse environment
  • Loading and unloading stock and preparing for dispatch
