Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Place of Work/Group Company: Nijhuis Saur Industries Industrial O&M Solutions, South
Location primarily Ledbury (Herefordshire) and Magor (South Wales)
Summary:
The O&M Maintenance department oversee various tasks within the design and installation process of treatment plants, from commissioning to service, to optimisation and fault-finding.
Due to the rapid growth of our business, we are looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineer with a passion to provide both preventative and reactive solutions in an efficient and sustainable manner whilst demonstrating a high level of customer service.
The role is a mobile position but based out of our Ledbury (Herefordshire) site, but also visiting other sites across the South of England.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- A pro-active approach to safety, with visible leadership on HSE issues at all levels both in the client organisation and within NSI
- Undertake the role of electrical and/ or mechanical service engineer for industrial wastewater treatment systems.
- Undertake scheduled and reactive servicing and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.
- On-site fault finding, repair and replacement of equipment that relates to the industrial wastewater industry.
- Create detailed reports of completed works and recommendations of remedial works.
- Assist the project management team in the planning, supervision, and installation of new wastewater plants.
- Provide cover to Project Managers during periods of absence.
- Travel to Maintenance or Project based sites around the South of the either independently or as part of a team.
- Contractor management
- Preparation of job reports, timesheets, risk assessments, method statements.
Required Skills/Qualifications (Essential):
- A full clean UK driving licence
- Level 3 apprenticeship electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
- 18th Edition certified.
- Ability to manage projects.
- Competency in panel wiring and diagnosis
- Proven track record of fault finding and fault diagnosis.
- Competency and understanding of safety systems.
Required Skills/Qualifications (Desirable):
- PASMA
- Forklift licence
- Wastewater background, all areas. An understanding of industrial systems is desirable.
- Confined space medium risk top and bottom person
- SMSTS/SSSTS
- First aid
- Understanding of the fundamentals automation and process control systems.
- Experience with PLC and SCADA system coding and design
