Senior Controls Engineer – Newbury - £50,000 - £65,000

A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Controls Engineer to join a market leading specialist equipment manufacturer in Berkshire, on a permanent basis.

The Senior Controls Engineer will be taking full ownership of Electrical and Controls projects from development, design, programming and support. As such a varied role is to be expected with experience in electrical, PLC controls and robotics a must.

The Senior Controls Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Automation solutions to a wide customer base, including Electrical, PLC and SCADA and robotics
  • Programming PLC software using Ladder Logic
  • Robotics programming
  • Producing Electrical wiring diagrams using CAD

The ideal Senior Controls Engineer will have:

  • A proven background within Automation and Controls
  • A manufacturing / machinery background
  • Experience in a range of software languages which could include, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, LabVIEW, C#
  • Electrical CAD experience using a design package such as AutoCAD Electrical or Solidworks Electrical
  • Proficiency in Robot programming
