Senior Civil Design Engineer

A triple-office Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Warrington are looking for a Senior Civil Design Engineer with at least 5+ years of consultancy experience to join their head office in Warrington.

The company have 3 UK offices as well as a presence in Australia and work largely on Residential Housing Schemes and Commercial projects across the country. They are looking for someone at Senior level who has experience design road and drainage layouts on Residential projects to come in and effectively assist the Team Leader with the day-to-day running of projects and client liaison as well as technical design and mentorship.



Responsibilities of a Senior Civil Design Engineer:

• Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility and monitor progress.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Utilize engineering software and tools effectively to optimize design processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the residential and commercial sectors.
• Proficient in using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, PDS, Civil 3D and/or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

The salary for this role will be £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience plus benefits and the company provides free on-site parking to all employees.
