Monday – Friday, Days - £49,300 - £55,000

Our client, a manufacturing company that has seen 100% growth yearly for the last 3 years, is looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their site near Newton Aycliffe. The hours are Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm and the salary is £49,300 - £55,000 (inclusive of a £6,000 annual bonus) Benefits include 25 days of annual leave, healthcare, sick pay, a 9% company pension contribution, discounts on high-street brands and more.

Responsibilities  

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and electrical faults promptly.
  • Manage maintenance projects, including planning, execution, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and project progress.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Source spare parts and supplies as needed for maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repair requests.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • HNC/HND qualification in Engineering or related field.
