Monday – Friday, Days - £49,300 - £55,000
Our client, a manufacturing company that has seen 100% growth yearly for the last 3 years, is looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their site near Newton Aycliffe. The hours are Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm and the salary is £49,300 - £55,000 (inclusive of a £6,000 annual bonus) Benefits include 25 days of annual leave, healthcare, sick pay, a 9% company pension contribution, discounts on high-street brands and more.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical and electrical faults promptly.
- Manage maintenance projects, including planning, execution, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and project progress.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Provide training and support to production staff on equipment maintenance procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Source spare parts and supplies as needed for maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repair requests.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable electrical and mechanical skills.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- HNC/HND qualification in Engineering or related field.
