Our client Bendalls Engineering is seeking a diligent and reliable part-time cleaner to join their team. The cleaner will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in designated areas across their sites on the estate. 

This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, the ability to work independently, and the applicant must be able to drive.

Carr’s Engineering designs, manufactures, and services bespoke equipment, vessels, precision components and remote handling systems alongside providing specialist engineering services in the Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, Motorsport, Pharmaceutical and Renewable industries. They have over 120 years of experience and provide industry leading services to their portfolio of long-standing customers.

  • Bendalls Engineering, Carlisle, CA3 

Hours of Work”

  • 20 hours, Mon-Thurs, 13:00-18:00

Salary”

  • £12.01 per hour 

Key responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Clean and sanitise restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
  • Empty general waste/recycling bins and replace liners.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
  • Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with instructions.
  • Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety. 


What you need for the role.

  • Previous experience in commercial or residential cleaning preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
