Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Structural Engineer to join our Rail division. As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and implementation of structural solutions within the rail sector. You will work closely with a team of experienced engineers to deliver high-quality projects that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of rail structures including bridges and other infrastructure elements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for rail projects.
  • Conduct structural assessments, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools for structural analysis, modeling, and simulations.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and reports for client review and approval.
  • Support in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in rail engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working on designs to Rail standards including; Network Rail standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing rail infrastructure design and construction is desirable.
  • Eager to learn and committed to professional development and continuous improvement.
