We are recruiting for a family run client based over in Tameside, who are headhunting a new Engineering Manager to take the baton from a longstanding employee. Working in a old school engineering environment, this roles offer the chance to join a company steeped in history, joining as a Engineering Manager with opportunity to shape the department.. With a focus on quality, we create a range of customisable packaging products to industry standards or bespoke specifications, ensuring reliability and sustainability throughout our manufacturing process.

Who Would Suit This Job: We are open to experience manager or exceptional candidate who want to step into a management role within demanding production environments, possessing mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills. The successful candidates should be a passionat leader with a strong engineering knowledge. The candidate should thrive in a proactive, multitasking environment, exhibit strong communication skills, and demonstrate adaptability and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Engineering and Maintenance Team.
  • Support and lead CAPEX projects
  • Liaise with company personnel and supplier to ensure smooth production.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance when required
  • Lead the team in repairs and record measures taken
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Salary

Salary range: £45,000 - £55 ,000 per annum.
