This role is part-time. The structure of the 22.5 hours is open to discussion, though will need to be spread over 5 days

Who are you?

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Stores and Maintenance Technician to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and hardworking individual to join a busy and fast-paced team.

Reporting into the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for all goods handling activities, maintaining stock activity, and ensuring all goods are stored correctly.

The role will require excellent communication skills along with enthusiasm and commitment and will suit a good team player who wishes to contribute towards the company’s overall success. You will be given the support you need in terms of training.

You will be liaising across departments addressing any relative stock queries or issues and ensuring job handling as per Company processes and procedures. This role involves manual lifting and handling. You will need previous experience of a warehouse environment together with experience of using Microsoft Office packages.

 

Experience in most of the following areas is required:
  • Experience of working in warehouse environments
  • Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, packing & loading
  • Understanding or willing to learn asset management and calibration control.
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Used to working in a fast paced, time critical environment
  • Basic DIY skills

What will you be doing here?

Stores Technician Activities:

  • Handling Deliveries
  • Booking in Stock
  • Raising W/O’s
  • Kitting W/O’s
  • Stock Take
  • Raising PO requests
  • Organising Shipments
  • With support from the MAIT team, liaise with Projects and Procurement for non-conformances or shortages

Maintenance Technician Activities:

  • Maintain test equipment, tooling and consumables
  • Point of contact for external repair, calibration and inspections of test equipment or lifting equipment
  • Housekeeping of the cleanroom facilities.
  • Building basic furniture within the facilities (chairs, desk, cabinets)
  • Assist with the forward planning and fitout of the manufacturing areas, raising PO requests.
Responsibilities will include (once trained and familiar with the existing company processes):
  • Assist with the upkeep and operation of the goods-inwards and stores.
  • Lead the asset management and calibration control
  • Lead basic maintenance activities 
  • Assist with forward planning and future fitout activities
